On October 29, 2025, Littleton Public Schools celebrated the official ribbon cutting of the new Central Production Kitchen (CPK), a major step forward in the district’s commitment to serving fresh, nutritious, and locally sourced meals to students across all LPS schools.

The event brought together district leadership, Board of Education members, nutrition services staff, investors like the LPS Foundation, and community partners. Guests heard inspiring remarks from Superintendent Dr. Todd Lambert, Chief Financial Officer Jonathan Levesque, Nutrition Services Director Jessica Gould, and Board of Education President Chérie Garcia-Kuper.

Following the ceremony, attendees sampled a variety of delicious menu items processed and prepared at the CPK, including scratch-made whole grain banana muffins, hearty homemade chili, and locally sourced produce. These samples gave a flavorful preview of the high-quality meals students enjoy that are impacted by the CPK.

Guests were also able to explore the impressive kitchen facility, meet the talented chef and sous chefs who lead its culinary operations, and learn about the innovative work happening behind the scenes. A highlight of the event was a video demonstration showing how marinara sauce is packaged in the CPK and distributed to school kitchens across the district.

“The Central Production Kitchen is a shining example of how LPS invests in student wellness and operational excellence,” said Dr. Lambert. “We are proud to be serving meals that are not only healthy and fresh, but also made with care and purpose.”

With this new facility, LPS is better equipped than ever to meet the evolving nutritional needs of its students while maintaining a strong focus on sustainability, scratch cooking, and community partnerships.
