Littleton Public Schools (LPS) has once again demonstrated its commitment to financial transparency and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars! For the 30th time, LPS Finance Department has earned the prestigious Meritorious Budget Award from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) for the 2026–2027 fiscal year.

This remarkable streak of national recognition celebrates the district's longstanding commitment to excellence in budget development, financial transparency, and clear communication with its community. The award reflects LPS's dedication to providing accurate, comprehensive, and accessible financial information to families, staff, taxpayers, and community members.

ASBO International's Meritorious Budget Award program recognizes school districts that meet rigorous national standards for budget presentation. To earn this distinction, districts submit their budget documents for an extensive peer review conducted by experienced school finance professionals. Each submission is evaluated against established criteria that emphasize clarity, accountability, and best practices in school financial management.
