Avoid the curse of knowledge- thinking you already know everything
Be curious
Be a good person
Be the values you hold
Be someone people want to work with
Be someone who you needed to see - so important!
Be curious about others’ stories

“One thing that I really enjoy about my internship is the people there. The physical therapists are both very welcoming and supportive. The patients are also very welcoming and enjoy asking me more about the EPIC program.” - Nick, intern at Douhan Physical Therapy
“One thing I enjoy about my position is that I get to learn lots of new skills; including how to set up and take off patients from the FES bikes, and how to use the hydroworks pool. It is interesting to see how the variety of therapy tools work and how they can help a variety of patients at different levels of injuries.” -Sophia, intern at Craig Hospital
“I enjoy the ability to enter coworkers' offices, whenever I have questions. Most if not all the people I get to work with have an open door policy, which allows for better communication, and easier access to knowledge.” - Gabe, intern at LPS IT Department
“One thing I really enjoy about my job is getting paid. Being able to work and earn money without taking any time outside of school helps me a lot with many things. Along with getting paid, learning other skills and having fun with my coworkers is another thing I enjoy about my job.” - Nate, intern with FCI
“I love getting to see the joy on my student’s faces every day. It's really powerful to know I’m making a difference in young people's lives. I love the team I work with, and I feel like I truly belong.” - Addie, intern at Little Raven Elementary
